There are many times where I find myself involved in meaningless discussions, devoid of content and incapable of counterargument. Who never?

But in Football this is very common.

“We all understand at least a little about Football”

At the end of those conversations, the first thought that strikes me is: “Football on TV is bad for everyone!”

But it’s a lie, it’s good, very good indeed. In fact, Football must be seen in different ways, understood and explained in endless ways.

But be careful, know your words and have some content behind every ‘pop’ we send to the table!

Football is not 11 vs 11. At least for me, I don’t understand it like that. And I don’t believe that an athlete, particularly in his Youth Development stages, can understand it like that. Football is a result of small numerical relationships, in which each athlete has to make the best possible decision in the appropriate time and space. Because when ‘I’ have the ball ‘I’ don’t play against 10 or 11 opposing athletes. But, surely, against the 2 or 3 that surround me and, in the vast majority of cases, I need the help of another 2 or 3 of my colleagues to resolve this moment in the Game.

In simple terms, this is my understanding of the game.

And from here we will continue on this journey, where Time, Space and Numerical Relations will be predominant in the transmission of my Philosophy and Training Methodology.

“Because when ‘I’ have the ball ‘I’ don’t play against 10 or 11 opposing athletes”

The biggest Disclaimer to make is that this blog is exclusively my idea and just a portrayal of my opinion. I do it out of necessity – in a very selfish way – to talk about the game and training and recommended only for lovers of the Game, the ball and training. It is not for referee lovers, much less for Club lovers. It’s simple and I’ll try to be simple in my explanations.

If you like it, fantastic! I invite you to stay a little longer.

If you didn’t like it, no problem, friends as before. Until the next coffee chat!

By the way, feel free to get in touch with me, leave a message or leave a comment. I write for myself, that’s true. But for you.

Stay in touch.
